Nozzle dropout or deflection are not resolved in the test print

  • Please perform maintenance.

The following factors could be possible causes:
- There might be foreign substances adhere to the surface of the print-head, blocking the nozzle
 openings.
- If the printer has not been used for a long time, the surface of the print-head may have dried out,
 leading to clogged nozzles.
- Ink not being properly ejected due to air contamination
- The nozzle area may be damaged due to rubbing or contact between the print-head and the media.

Follow the procedures below to perform maintenance.
* Please ensure that the ink is not Near-end before proceeding.

1. Perform [Carriage out] and carry out wiper cleaning, cap cleaning, and cleaning around the print-head.
Verify if the suction wiper is functioning properly and able to perform suction effectively.

MAINTENANCE > CARRIAGE OUT

Add a few drops of cleaning solution and confirm through sound if the suction is working properly.
After confirmation, proceed to the next step.

2. After performing nozzle cleaning using Cleaning liquid 11 or Cleaning liquid 15, carry out a cleaning
(normal) operation, and check the test print.
- Please follow the specified method when cleaning the nozzle surface.
- Refer to this video tutorial for how to clean the head nozzle surface.

- If there are still nozzle drop-out, perform a hard cleaning.
If there are still any nozzle dropout even after performing a hard cleaning and checking the test print, go to the next step.

3. Fill the cap with cleaning liquid (Pr dedicated liquid for Pr, or Cleaning liquid 15 for other colors),
perform [Nozzle Wash], then check the test print.
If there are still nozzle dropout, proceed to the next step.
Please refer to the "Operation Manual" for the procedure of nozzle wash.
Please check “Chapter 4 Maintenance” >“Nozzle Wash” for detailed instructions.

4. Perform [SUB TANK MAITNENANCE].

After performing the procedure, please conduct a [TEST PRINT] and verify the results.
If the nozzle recovery is not successful even after performing steps 1 to 4, please consider performing the nozzle recovery procedure.
Please refer to the "Operation Manual" for the procedure of nozzle recovery. Please check “Chapter 4: Maintenance” > ”Nozzle Recovery Function” for detailed instructions.
